8 month old coolant, but looks like burnt gravy.

Brown and lumpy, was dysentery green when I dis covered the leaky pump this morning. Maybe molasses by tomorrow. I still have the old cool ant, guess I’ll be putting it back in gradually. This was all squeaky clean when I changed the water pump earlier this year. Taking guesses on how long this engine lasts, not a car I’d sell someone now.

An oppo would taste it to confirm it's not burnt gravy.

It looked more appetizing when it was green chili chutney earlier today.

Judging by how quickly it’s changing I wouldn’t be going anywhere out of cell service or walking distance back to civilization. Might be time to use *gasps* actual stop leak.

Got a solid backup car so I’m just going to drive it into the ground. But I think I’ll use the truck to do those 5 hour drives in the middle of nowhere. Oil is squeaky clean and it doesn’t run hot. It was a good car yes terday (drove 550 km) but its a bad car today.

I would NEVER get rid of a car that made actual gravy.

That there is the Canadian dream.  All it needs then is a potato cannon slash pressure cooker.

If it’s more oil spill than mayonnaise it could also be an oil or EGR cooler leaking which is less expensive and complicated to repair .

About 270,000 km so it’s not dying young or anything its right in the window for how long a Dodge lasts. Wasn’t scheduled for replacement this year especially since it sat around for several months while I watched tiger king and got pudgy. We might look at getting Mrs D. something newer and move me into the hybrid.

A 10 ford E scape, that her dad bought new and we got about 3 years ago. It’s been a great vehicle. O ne oxygen sensor and a few bulbs the only fixes the whole time we have had it.

I agree with Highlanders take. If you’re driving this thing into the ground and this is what it looks like (head gasket? ), then I’d throw something with the word “miracle” on the bottle in there for science! These are what I carry in my kit in case shit goes super wrong: https://smile.amazon.com/ACDelco-10-108/dp/B0026JK8C8/

I could try the folk remedies like black pepper or cracking an egg into the rad,  pretty sure it’s fucked so no harm in trying.

Is that a real trick or is it like telling someone the best cure for road rash is lemon juice?

We’ve talked about it and that’s What we’re gonna do.  Mrs. D is a grownup with a real job so we’re going to get her a car.  It needs to move exactly as much stuff and people as the escape and have heated seats.  other than that she’s open to suggestion.

That does seem like a logical thing to do. We love my wife's Mazda CX-5. Although I must say, the seat heaters are kinda weak sauce.
